How we die is really important

There is a lack of discussion in the public space about how people want to die and what they want done if they become seriously ill. In this instructive and enlightening Ted Talk, Peter Saul discusses the element of “control” in death. He discusses the power of training people in hospitals to talk to people about what they want in dying. He goes on to pose the question to listeners: Why can’t we have these conversations?

“How we die lives on in the minds of everyone who survives us.”
